Mrs. Mary Harty, 79, wife of J.O. Harty, 536 South Davis street, died at her home at 9:20 a.m. today. She was the daughter of John and Jane Beard as was born in Davis county October 8, 1861. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for 46 years. She was married to Y.O. Lowe of Ottumwa, February 11, 1883. To this marriage 10 children were born. Mr. Lowe died November 9, 1906. She married Jesse Harty, September 7, 1909. He survives her. She also is survived by four sons, Lambert, and Herbert Lowe of Ottumwa, Russell Lowe of Hoquiam, Washington, and John Lowe of Omaha; one stepson, Clyde J. Harty of Sheridan, Wyoming; three daughters Mrs. Maude J. Spears and Mrs. Blanche Mooney of Ottumwa and Mrs. Ada Spillman of Kirksville, Missouri. She also is survived by 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Harty was a member of Woodman circle, Mountain Grove, No. 42 and a member of W.R.C. No. 327.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Harty, wife of J.C. Harty, who died at her home 536 South Davis street, Friday will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Lloyd C. Snyder of the West End Presbyterian church will be in charge. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lambert, Herbert, John and Ed Lowe, James Spears and Earl Mooney.
