Mrs. Sarah E. Channel, 78, died at her home north of the city at 4 p.m. Monday. She was the daughter of Henry and Evelyn Bills and was born at Decatur, Illinois, January 13, 1863. She was a resident of the Ottumwa community since 1881. She is survived by one son, Theodore C. Channel of Chillicothe, four grandsons and 15 great grandchildren and three brothers, Moulton Bills of Vancouver, British Columbia, David D. of Butte, Montana, and Colonel Bills, Gilroy, California. Her husband, George W. Channel, died in May 1932. She also was preceded in death by two daughters and one son. the body is at the Johnson chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah E. Channel who died Monday afternoon at her home north of Ottumwa, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Zion Lutheran church, two miles north of Douds. The body will be at Johnson mortuary and burial will be in the Zion cemetery.
