H.W. Edmundson, 72, Farm Veteran, Dies
Henry W. Edmundson, 72, who spent most of his life on southeastern Iowa farms, died Monday noon of a heart attack at his home, about four miles north of the city. Prior to moving to his present home two years ago, Mr. Edmundson had lived on one farm near Agency for 24 years. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Mrs. Clark Wheaton of Detroit, Michigan, Muriel at home; son John G. of Calumet City, Illinois, brother, J.A. of Long Beach, California; sister, Mrs. John Hampton of What Cheer, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Arden Edmundson, September 16, 1924. The body is at the home. Services for Henry W. Edmundson, who died Monday at his home north of the city, will be held in Agency Methodist church Thursday at 1 p.m. conducted by the Rev. J.B. Johnson, pastor of the Wesley Methodist church in Ottumwa, assisted by the Agency pastor the Rev. Mr. Wyatt. Burial will be in Agency cemetery. The body is at the home.
