E. Brown 75, died today at 10:50 a.m. at his home 528 East Second street. He had been ill for three weeks. Mr. Brown was born in Lithuania. He came to the United States in 1888, moving to Ottumwa in 1898. In 1923 he moved to Chicago, returning to Ottumwa last spring. Surviving are his wife, Freda; daughter, Mrs. Louis Barnett of Des Moines; sons Mandel of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Harry of Marion Indiana and William H. of Ottumwa; two grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Nettie Price of Chicago; brothers Max and Joseph of Grand Rapids, and Louis of Brooklyn N.Y. The body is at the Carroll Reece funeral home. Services for E. Brown, who died Tuesday at his home, 528 East Second street, were held today at 1 P.m. in the Carroll Reece funeral home. Conducted by Rabbi Ben Zion Well. Burial will be in Des Moines Thursday.
