E. W. Carol Also A Heart Attack Victim
Second To Die Sunday Of Overexertion
Edgar W. Carol, 58, became the second victim of over exertion from shoveling snow Sunday at 12:20 p.m. when he died at his home 220 North Ward street of a heart attack. Carl Dalin, 55 Ottumwa jeweler died shortly before Mr. Carol from a similar cause. Mr. Carol was the son of William and Zadie L. Carol and was born in Fairport, N.Y. August 28, 1882. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last 33 years. Surviving are his mother, Zadie; brother, William Henry, and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, February 17, 1926. Services will be held Tuesday at 3:20 p.m. in Johnson's funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. V. L. Currier of the Finley Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
