Mrs. Josephine Snell, 80, wife of William Snell, 703 Lee avenue died at her home today at 5:45 a.m. She was the daughter of John and Sarah Henderson and was born August 22, 1860 at Agency. She had lived in Wapello county throughout her life and in Ottumwa for the last 48 years. Surviving are her husband, William, sons Sam Griggs, and Harry Blizzard of Ottumwa; stepson Lowell Snell of Ottumwa step daughters Mrs. Lillie Koebke of Ottumwa and Mrs. Edith Luko of Bloomfield; two grandsons and two great-grandsons. The body is at Johnson's funeral chapel. Services for Mrs. Josephine Snell wife of William Snell, who died at her home 703 Lee avenue Thursday, will be held in Johnson's funeral chapel Thursday at 3:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. V.L. Currier pastor of the Finley Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
