Donald Erwin Thorne, 3-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thorne, 338 Taft avenue, died at Ottumwa hospital Saturday at 6:15 p.m. He dad been ill less than a day. He was born in Ottumwa September 12, 1937. Surviving are his parents; sister, Glendine; brothers; Frank Jr. and John all at home, and a grandmother Mrs. Ida Kitchen of Belleville, Illinois. Short services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the home and at 2 p.m. in the Lester Jay funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Lloyd C. Snyder, pastor of the West End Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The body is at the home. Pallbearers will be William Pester, George Simpson, Ernest Estes and Kenneth Goudy.
