Frank Allman, 75, Veteran Morrell Man.
Frank Allman, 75, lifetime resident of Wapello county, died at his home, 825 West Williams street, Thursday at 9:45 p.m. He was the son of William and Malinda Allman and was born in Wapello county October 3, 1865. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last 27 years, 22 of which were spent in the employ of John Morrell & Co. He was married to Miss Jennie Harmon in March, 1898 at Fairfield. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs. Gerald Yeager of Fairfield and Mrs. Burn Fuqua of Ottumwa; son Walter of Ottumwa; granddaughters Wanda Charlene Allman of Ottumwa, and Marilyn Jean and Sandra Jane Yeager of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Services will be held in the Davis Street Christian church Saturday at 1 p. m. conducted by the Rev. S. P. Williamson of the Fairfield First Christian church. Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery. The body will remain at Johnson's funeral chapel until Saturday at 9 a.m. when the body will be taken to the home. Pallbearers will be employees of John Morrell & Co.
