Dies At Age Of 74
Was A Lifetime Resident of Ottumwa
Mrs. Mary Alice Leinhauser 74-year-old lifetime resident of Ottumwa, died at her home 317 South Milner street, Wednesday at 11:45 a. m. She was the widow of Peter E. Leinhauser, Mrs. Leinhauser had been ill for a considerable period. She was born January 9, 1856, in Ottumwa the daughter of John and Rebecca Sayler. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. Surviving are daughters, Myrtle and Edna at home. Mrs. Louise Smith of Oak Park Ill. and Mrs. Eva Burris of Chicago; son, Carl Leinhauser of Ottuwa; sister Mrs. Edna Harris of Ottumwa, and brother, Frank Sayler of Ottumwa. Her husband died in 1924. Services will be Saturday at 8:30 a. m. in the Carroll Reece funeral home and at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church, where requiem high mass will be celebrated by the pastor, the Rev. T. C. Donohoe. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Members of the Altar and Rosary society of the church will meet in the funeral home Friday at 8 p. m. to recite the rosary. Pallbearers will be Paul Scott, J. Edward Love, Pat Garvin, Cornelius Rater, George Zika and Eugene Kosman. The body will remain at the Reece funeral home.
