Mary Lulu Estes, 74, Hedrick, died Sunday, 30 December 1973, at the United States Naval Hospital, Pensacola Florida. She suffered a stroke Friday while visiting granddaughter, Mrs Peter Soballe. Mary was born 16 Jun 1899, in Hedrick, Keokuk County, Iowa, the daughter of Phillip & Kate Ritter Sauer. She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church. Mary was married 19 Jul 1916 to Willard A. Estes, Hedrick, Iowa. He died 23 April, 1959. One sister preceded her in death, survivers: son Waldo, Fremont, Iowa; daughter, Marjorie Hollingsworth, Ottumwa, Iowa; brother, John Sauer, Ottumwa; 2 sisters Clara Knaak, Martinsburg, & Mildred Playle, El Cerrito, CA. Services Wednesday, buried Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Ottumwa.
