George Franklin Troxel, 31, of 935 S Weller st. died Aug 13, 1993 at his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1961, in Santa Rosa, Calif., to Otto and Josephine Meyers Troxel. He married Debra Anne Eakins on Sept 18, 1988, in Ottumwa. He was currently an employee of Iowa Malleable Iron Company in Fairfiled and was a member of the steel workers union. He is survived by his wife: three daughters, Melissa and Nicole Troxel at home and Jessica Calvert of Ottumwa; a son Scotty Calvert of Ottumwa; his mother, Josephine Henshaw of Chillicothe; four brothers, Charles of Englewood, Colo., Jay of Des Moines, Steven and David of Ottumwa; and three sisters Kay Hazzard of Bloomfield, Linda Lalli of Pheonix and Donna Bailey of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his father, Otto Troxel. The service was held Monday August 16, at Reese funeral Home, the Rev Barry Stewart officiating. Burial was in Chillicothe cemetery. Pallbearers were Pat Cardwell, Kelly Haines, Gary Houk, Ron Thomas, Andy & Grant Troxel. – Eddyville Tribune 1993.
