ELDON - Abraham Ehret, 6?, of Eldon, died Thursday, Feb. 2?, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Campbell-Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial at a later date. Family visitation is from 7 to 8 tonight the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Eldon Rescue Unit.
Ehret was born June 1, 1925, in Van Buren County, the son of Silas and Veda Mathias Ehret. He was reared and educated in Van Buren County and lived most of his life in the Eldon area. He married Mildred Carlton on July 30, 1946, in Ottumwa. He worked at Iowa Malleable in Fairfield for 21 years, retiring in 1986.
Surviving are five sons, Allen of Fairfield, Billy Joe of Agnecy, Michael, Robert and Jackie, all of Eldon; two daughters, Cheryl Hanson of Stewartville, Minn., Cathy Fiedler of Agency; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Cook of Libertyville, Mary Salts of Eldon and a half-brother, Roy Mathias, Selma. Five brothers, a sister, grandchild and his parents and preceded him in death.
