Pamela A. Ruckman

Pamela A. Ruckman, 71, of Ottumwa, died at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

The funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Mel Kendall officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be open beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family will be present one hour prior to the service Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heartland Humane Society, PO Box 1149, Ottumwa 52501 or Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties, 927 Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa 52501.

Mrs. Ruckman was born May 27, 1943, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Earl C. and Nellie Carr Mooney. She married William "Bill" Ruckman Oct. 14, 1961.

A 1961 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Mrs. Ruckman was a homemaker.

She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeire No. 114 Auxiliary, Bosom Buddies and YMCA, where she was an avid exerciser.

Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Scott Ruckman and wife Lori of Omaha, Nebraska, and Shawn Ruckman and wife Beth of Fairfield; three grandchildren and one half-sister, Becky Murray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carolyn Bailey; and stepmother, Mildred Mooney.
