HEDRICK WOMAN DIES IN OTTUMWA
Mrs. Anna Vaughan, Well Known Here, Succumbs Of Intestinal Ailment; Recently Injured.

Mrs. Anna Gullett Vaughn, 64, wife of William A. Vaughn, who broke her collar bone in a fall down the stairway at her home in Hedrick about three weeks ago, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph hospital here.

She was suffering from an intestinal ailment.

She was taken to the St. Joseph hospital at Ottumwa Tuesday noon for an operation.

She leaves her husband, William A. Vaughn, former president and director of the old Hedrick State Bank.

She also leaves four brothers, C. F. Gullett and W. J., both of Lincoln, Ill., W. F., of Los Angeles, Calif., and Eugene R. Gullett of East Moline, Ill., and a sister, Miss Ida B. Gullett of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on the lawn at the Vaughn home on East Second street in Hedrick, conducted by the Rev. J. B. Hockersmith, pastor of the Hedrick Christian church.

The body will be taken to Lincoln, Ill., for burial Friday morning.

Mrs. Vaughn was a member of the Hedrick Garden Club and the Ottumwa Book Club. Her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Gullett, arrived from Lincoln, Tuesday night.

Mrs. Mary Lowe, sister of Mrs. Vaughn, also arrived here from New Jersey.

Mrs. Vaughn was a charter member of the Ottumwa Book club and historian of the organization since its founding.
