Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Friday, August 27, 1943:

60-Year Resident Of Ottumwa Is Dead

Mrs. Emily Wyatt , 78, a resident of Ottumwa for the past 60 years, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 716 Chester avenue. She was a charter member of the Free Methodist church.

She was born July 19, 1865 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Wyatt, and is survived by one son, Sam Wyatt of Ottumwa. She is also survived by two grandsons, Master Tech. Sgt. William Wyatt with the marine corps in the Pacific and Kenneth Wyatt of Ottumwa.

The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel where funeral services will be held at 4 .m. Saturday. The Rev. Z. Everett Kellum will have charge of the services and burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
