Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” November 9, 1951:

Death Comes To Frank Bright, 82

B.F. (Frank) Bright, 82, of Ottumwa route 2, died Thursday at 7 p.m. in the St. Joseph hospital.

The son of James N. and Sarah Bright, he was born January 10, 1869, in Winchester, Ind. His marriage to Alice McMurran took place March 13, 1894, in Henry county. He had been a resident of Wapello county since 1910.

Mr. Bright is survived by his wife, Alice; four sons, Nels Bright, Don Bright and Sam Bridge [sic-should be Bright], all of Ottumwa, and Fay Bright at home; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Darbyshire, Mrs. Ruth Thoma and Mrs. Gerena Osterberg, all of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Thelma Fausone of Milwaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank Garvin of Scott City, Kan.; and one brother, W.R. Bright of Dee, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by one son, William Ray Bright; one grandson, his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of Dr. Malvin H. Lundean of the First Lutheran church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Gruwell, Howard Phillips, Joe Wagner, Ray Phillips, George Seaburg and John Mahaskey.
