Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” October 20, 1965:

Mrs. Chris Stenner

Mrs. Ruth M. Stenner, 66, of 624 Morris St., died at 5:02 a.m. at Ottumwa Hospital.

She was the daughter of Fredrick D. and Kittie Rollinson Comfort and was born in Richland on Feb. 15, 1899. She had resided in Ottumwa for the past 35 years.

Mrs. Stenner was a member of Willard Street Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors of America.

Her marriage to Chris Stenner took place May 5, 1943, in Missouri. He survives. She also leaves two sons, Robert R. Rhynas of Ottumwa and Warren J. Rhynas Jr. of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; six grandchildren; and four brothers, Robert Comfort of Zearing, Paul Comfort of Nevada, Forrest Comfort of Ardmore, Pa., and Ralph Comfort of Newbury, Ore. One sister and one brother preceded her in death.

The body is at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.
