Mrs. Alta Claypool, 49, wife of Frank Claypool, 205 North Hancock Street, died at Ottumwa hospital at 12:50 AM today.

She was the daughter of Alfred and Eliza Swinscoe, born near Albia, December 10, 1893. She came to Ottumwa when four years old. She attended the Ward Street Gospel Hall. She and Frank Claypool were married May 10, 1909. He survives. Also survives is a sone Leeson of Aberdeen, MD.; a daughter Mrs. Elizabeth Pavletich, Ottumwa; a brother, Harry Swinsncoe and four sisters, Mrs. Emery Goodson, Mrs. Annis Strong and Mrs. Frank McClellan, all of Ottumwa.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM thursday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, conducted by A.O. Smith. Burial will be in the Burns Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Reams, Marcus McClellan, Lauen Maston, Charles Strong, John Claypool, Jr. and Alfred Goodwin.
