OTTUMWA- Dillan E. Quigley, 94, of Ottumwa died at 6:10 a.m. September 29, 2015 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born May 3, 1921 in Bunch, IA to George and Pearl Paris Quigley. He married Marian J. Ward on September 9, 1940.

He served in U. S. Army during World War II and was an employee of John Morrell & Company for 32 years, retiring in 1973.

He was a member of Empire Masonic Lodge #269 A.F. & A.M.

Surviving is his wife, Marian; two sons, Craig (Barb) Quigley and Dee (Becky) Quigley both of Ottumwa; six grandchildren, Dana Trout, Dack Quigley, Heather Quigley, Penny Runnells, Kim Quigley and Mike Quigley; seven great grandchildren, Misty, Dakota, Zane, Silus, Dillan, Harvey and Megan; two great-great granddaughters, Raymii and Bailee; and a sister, Imogene Axmacher of Memphis, TN.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dannie Quigley; a daughter, Denise Pelic; a grandson, Scott Quigley; and a beloved dog, Ginger.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 of the American Legion.

Graveside service & burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Visitation begins after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by family visitation until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
