Edna Elnora Birkinbine 56 died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at Sunny Slope Extended Care Center. She had been a resident of Fremont Route 1 and had been ill a short time.

She was the daughter of Lewis and Anna Robinson Gates and was born in Hawkin March 11, 1915.

She was married to Donald Birkinbine Aug. 20. 1942 at Lancaster Missouri. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters Mary Lee of Troy, Ohio and Marie at home; two brothers Paur Birkinbine of Atlanta and John in the Air Force in the Phillipine Islands; five grandchildren, two brothers Edwin Gates of Ottumwa and Lewis Gates Jr. of Palmdale, Calif.

Funeral services for Edna 56 who died Tuesday at 9:15 p.m. will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Jay funeral home with the Rev. Clifford Davis and the Rev. Tammy Brunk officiating. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
