Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” May 7, 1907:

Miss Edith Clark

Roy Gates received word this morning from his sister, Mrs. James A. Clark of Calvert, Kansas, of the death of her little daughter, Miss Edith. The little girl was seven years of age. Both Mr. and Mrs. James Clark were formerly residents of Ottumwa, where they have many friends. The remains of the little girl will be brought to this city for interment. The funeral services will probably be held Wednesday, although nothing definite has been decided upon.
