Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” May 17, 1939:

MRS. ROSA L. McCALL

Mrs. Rosa L. McCall, 43, wife of E.E. McCall, 622 Wabash avenue, died at her home today at 11:04 a.m.

She was the daughter of D.B. and Minnie Shadley and was born in Davis county January 18, 1896. She had lived in Ottumwa for the last 37 years and was a member of the Free Methodist church.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Johnston of Ottumwa and Cletis June and Vetis Mae at home; a sister, Mrs. Melissa Tanner of Ottumwa, and two brothers, Clarence Shadley of Ottumwa route 2 and Harry Shadley of Port Orchard, Wash.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.

The body is at the Johnson’s funeral chapel.
