Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Friday, September 18, 1908:

DEATHS
ALLISON–Friday, September 18, 1908, at 11:40 a.m. at the home of Elmer Steele, north of Fremont, James Allison.

The remains will be brought to the city and the funeral will be held Sunday morning at 9:30 o’clock from the undertaking parlors of C.T. Sullivan.

“FUNERALS,” From “Ottumwa Courier,” Saturday, September 19, 1908:

The funeral of James Allison, whose death occurred at the home of Elmer Steele, north of Fremont, Friday, will be held tomorrow from the undertaking rooms of C.T. Sullivan on West Second street, at 1 o’clock. The funeral will be in charge of G.M. Tuttle post, G.A.R., of South Ottumwa. Interment will be in Shaul cemetery.
