FUNERALS.
Funeral services over the remains
of Mrs. Jane Pownell, who passed
away Saturday, were held this after­-
noon at 1:30 o'clock from the resi-
dence of Mrs. Ida Newnam, corner of
Richards and Hayne streets. Rev.
Hiram Baker conducted the services.
Interment was made in the Shaul
cemetery.

DEATHS.
POWNELL--Saturday, December 31,
1910 at 11:30 p. m. Jane Pownell
age 80, a highly respected octogen-
arian of the county. Death came
most peacefully from old age. The
decedent leaves one daughter, Ida
Newman and two sons, E. J. E.
Pownell of Ottumwa and H. S. Pow-
nell of Champaign, Ill.
The funeral services will be held at
the home of Mrs. Ida Newman, corner
Hayne and Richards streets, Tuesday
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Hiram
Baker will have charge. Interment
will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
