Hessel Fleener.
Hessel Fleener, son of Mr. and Mrs.
J. M. Fleener, was born in Keokuk
county, Iowa, January 26, 1893, and
died at the home of his parents, two
miles northwest of Ottumwa, Wednes-
day, October 26, 1910, aged 16 years,
and 9 months. He with his parents
moved to Ottumwa four years ago
where he resided until death called
him home. He united with the First
Christian church more than two years
ago and died in the triumphs of the
gospel. He was a young man of sterl-
ing worth and many were the friends
he had gathered about him in his short
earthly career. Short funeral services
were conducted from the residence
Thursday, October 27, at 11 a. m., Rev.
S. Isaac Elder, pastor of the Davis
Street Christian church officiating. In
terment was made in Hedrick ceme-
tery. —Contributed.
