Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” July 25, 1934:
Mrs. Amanda R. Pabst, 70 years old, wife of Charles P. Pabst, died at her home in Wildwood addition, Ottumwa route 4, at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.
She is survived, besides her husband, by three sons, Richard D. Williams of Albia and Frank J. Williams and James A. Williams of Ottumwa; one daughter, Mrs. Leah B. Sincox of Aurora, Ill.; two stepsons, Clarence A. Pabst of Peoria, Ill., and Gene Pabst of Middlegrove, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Merle Miller of Ottumwa; thirteen grandchildren and one half-sister, Mrs. Leah B. Shaff of Williamsfield, Ohio.
Mrs. Pabst was a member of the American legion auxiliary unit.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 1 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery.
