Mrs. Ida Goodlander. Drakeville—Ida Hutton was born at Greeley, Iowa, Nov. 19, 1856 and came to Drakeville with her parents at the age of 12 years. She united with the Christian church at this place at the age of 15 years in 1870 and has been identified with that church ever since. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Goodlander Feb. 19, 1874. To this union four children were born, Jennie Lockman of Missoula, Mont. M. H. Goodlander, Los Angeles, Calif. Lulu H., residing at this place with her father, a son, who died at birth. Mrs. Goodlander was a great temperance worker and was president of the W. C. T. U. at this place for three years. She was a teacher of Gordon Loyal Temperance Legion for three years, never tiring in her work, and was a true devout Christian in her home and a devoted wife, kind and loving mother, always putting the thoughts and feelings of her dear ones first, even in her last long illness, looking ever with hope and was a patient cheerful sufferer until the last. She died in Bloomfield at the hospital Oct. 26 where she was taken for care and treatment, at the age of 55 years. 11 months, 26 days. Interment was made at the Drakeville cemetery Sunday Oct 27.
