The last sad rites over the remains of Edward Grotz who died Sunday in Chicago, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his mother, Mrs. Louisa Grotz, 708 West Fourth Street. There was only the song service, the Colonial quartet, Mesdame’s A. W. Slaught and John Hughes and Messrs. Fred Young and Edward H. Mather singing 'Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,'' and "Shall We Gather at the River," while the body was being lowered in the grave at the Ottumwa cemetery. The pall bearers were, Edward Wachtler, Andrew Love, James McMonigle, Otto Heidrick, Bert Emery and Claude Warren.
