Ottumwa Courier July 17, 1936

Mrs. Julia McFarlin, 86, mother of John Clemens, of 511 N. Court St., died at 1:30 PM today at the Clemens home. She was born in Lima, County Ohio, March 9, 1852. For the last three years she had lived at the Clemens home here. Her husband preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Clemens and two grandchildren Robert and Lucille all of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held at the Daggett funeral Chapel Saturday at 1:30 PM, conducted by Hazel A. Nason, the body will be taken to Central City, Mrs. McFarlan's hometown for burial.
