Mrs. Martha E. Davidson, 66, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katherine Hughes, 621 Pershing Ave., Saturday at 4:15 PM after an illness of several weeks. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Carter and was born in Tennessee, April 1, 1870. She had lived in Ottumwa for the last 25 years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Alma Surber of Ottumwa; four sons, James, Robert, William and Henry all of Ottumwa, and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Davidson and two sons. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 PM at Johnson's funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. A. D. McClure. Burial be made in the Ottumwa cemetery.
