John Milton Maring, 75, died at his home, 622 N. St., today at 11 AM. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the last 52 years. Mr. Maring was the son of Jacob and Angeline Maring and was born at Chillicothe, September 5, 1860. He was a charter member of the local Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Emma Jane; four sons, Joe of Des Moines, Jacob W. of New York, New York, Robert L. of Huntington, West Virginia and John F. of Ottumwa; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Baring of Fairfield and Mrs. Cordelia Peterson of Oskaloosa, and three brothers, George Maring of Batavia, Theodore and William of Long Beach, California. The body is at the Johnson funeral Chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
