F. W. Purdue, 68, of 2107 W. 2nd St., died Monday evening on the lawn at his home of what Coroner John Drake said today he was a heart attack. Surviving are two sons, J. R. and Ralph, both of Ottumwa; one sister, Mrs. Bob Fort of Red Oak, and three brothers, Will of California, James Edward of Nebraska and Yank of Kansas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Drake’s funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Roy C. Leeds. Burial will be made in the Ottumwa cemetery. The body will remain at the Drake Chapel until time for services.
