Long Time Ottumwan Is Dead At 78
Ottumwan for 52 years Lewis Gibson, 78 died at his home, Ottumwa route 5, at 5 AM today. He was born September 14, 1857, in Ottawa, Illinois and married Flora Ditch, Waco, Nebraska December 28, 1880. He was an employee of the Lagomarcino-Grupe Co. for the last 12 years, the last in 1924. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Howard and Mrs. Louis Denning, both of Ottumwa; one son, George, of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. William Miller of Aurora, Illinois, and one brother, John of Ottawa, Illinois. No funeral arrangements have been made.
