Mrs. Anna Riefsnyder Dies After Long Illness-Lived Here Forty Years.

Ottumwa, Iowa, Jan. 19.-The death of Mrs. Anna Riefsnyder, 74 years of age, occurred this morning at 4 o'clock, at the residence on East Second Street, after an illness lasting about 10 months.

Mrs. Riefsnyder was born in Sommersehire, England, June 21, 1839, coming to this country when a young girl. She was married to Charles Dewitt Riefsnyder in Dubuque, November 11, 1857. Mr. Riefsnyder preceded her in death April 2, 1913. She has been a resident of Ottumwa for over forty years, and was a faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal church.

The survivors are one sister, Mrs. Mary Newman of Stockport, one brother, Phillips C. Webber of Fairfield, one son, Thomas C. Riefsnyder, one daughter, Mrs. Carrie R. Deacon, both of Ottumwa. Four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held from the residence, 522 East Second street, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.C. Hengen. The remains were laid to rest in the Ottumwa cemetery.
