Gerald R. Forbes, 75, of Ottumwa Route 4 died at 12:55 a.m. July 15, 1985, at St. Joseph Hospital.
He was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Ottumwa to Richard and Matilda Sweeney Forbes. He was a retired plumber.
He is survived by four sisters, Addie Warnock and Geraldine Ott of Cedar Rapids, Alma Vogt of Oskaloosa and Margaret Skinner of Ottumwa; a brother, Earl of Oskaloosa; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. A.D. Pringle of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
The casket will be closed as the service begins.
Visitation will be after 12 noon today.
