Mrs. Garber Dies At 79

OSKALOOSA - Mrs. Orba Fay Garber, 79, native of the Farson Community, died at 7:35 a.m. today at the Pleasant View Lutheran Home in Ottawa, Ill.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Frey officiating. Burial will be in Competine Cemetery near Farson.

Orba Fay Garber was born May 16, 1897, near Farson, the daughter of Robert W. and Anna Mitchell Benn. She lived in the Farson Community until moving to Oskaloosa in 1946. She was a member of the Farson Baptist Church and Walker Club.

She was married May 19, 1915, to John Sherman Garber at Ottumwa. He preceded his wife in death Nov. 7, 1974.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Roger Anderson, Ottawa; two granddaughters and one sister, Mrs. Ethel McGuire, Farson.
