Mrs. Matilda Van Ausdall, 84, of Keokuk died Wednesday at 7 PM at the home of her daughter Mrs. Lewis Sigmund, 628 W. 4th St; she had been at the daughter’s home but a few weeks. Surviving besides her daughter are one son Verling Van Ausdall, Keokuk; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Nagel of Keokuk, Mrs. Emma Hurley of Pekin, Illinois, and Mrs. Ollie Burns and Mrs. Anelia Burns, both of New Haven, Connecticut; two brothers Rudolph Rockenbach of Keokuk and Fred Rockenbach of Peoria, Illinois, and four granddaughters, Margaret, Helen, Alice and Lois Sigmund, all of Keokuk. Mrs. Van Ausdall was a member the Keokuk First Christian church. Funeral services and burial be in Keokuk Saturday. The body will remain at the Lester Jay funeral home until 10 PM today.
