Iona E. Sprouse, 95, of Selma, died Friday, July 14, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.
Services were held Sunday at the Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield with the Rev. Jerry Caughran officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery near Floris.
A memorial fund has been established.
Mrs. Sprouse was born July 7, 1905, in Gilman, the daughter of Jacob and Rosa DIEFFENBACH REISCH. She married James SPROUSE May 8, 1922, in Otuumwa. He died Dec. 30, 1980.
She grew up in Van Buren County and had attended the Troy schools. She was a homemaker.
She was a former member of the Troy United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Glenn SPROUSE of Selma, Ramon SPROUSE of Moline, Ill., and Dale SPROUSE of Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one infant son; and one brother, Ira REISCH.
