Aged Rural Woman Dies On Sunday
Mrs. Alice Caroline Chapman, 80, widow of Daniel Chapman, died Sunday at 10 PM at her home, Ottumwa route 4. Mrs. Chapman had lived on the same farm for nearly 50 years. Surviving are one son, Charley Chapman, Ottumwa route 4; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Hill; three stepsons, John, William and Frank Chapman all of Ottumwa route 4 and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Frank McCoy and Mrs. Robert Pickerel, both of Ottumwa route 4, and Mrs. Joseph McConaha, Cedar Rapids. The body is at the Carroll Reese mortuary pending completion of funeral arrangements.
