Civil War Vet’s Wife Dies Here
Mrs. Lavina Ware, 89, wife of Reuben Ware, Wapello County Civil War veteran, died at her home on East AltaVista Avenue; Thursday at 11 PM. Born in Iowa City in 1846, Mrs. Ware had been an Ottumwa resident for the last 40 years. Surviving is her husband, who was ill. She was preceded in death by three daughters. Friends may call at Johnson's funeral Chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
