Life Resident Is Dead At 76
Mrs. Minnie Renfrew Is Survived By Three Sons And Three Daughters
Mrs. Minnie Renfrew, 76, almost a lifetime resident of Wapello County, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. K. Burdett, 321 S. Davis Street, Thursday at 8:50 PM. She was the widow of Henry Renfrew. Mrs. Renfrew was born at Bentonsport, October 16, 1859, coming to Wapello County at an early age. Surviving are three sons, Roy and Lawrence of Ottumwa route 2 and Carl of Ottumwa; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Tennyson and Mrs. Ethel Overturf, both of Ottumwa, route 2, and Mrs. Hazel Burdett of Ottumwa; one brother, Lewis Steinhoff of Ottumwa; one sister, Mrs. Sophia Shields of Torrington, Wyoming; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, Henry Renfrew, preceded her in death, April 25, 1935. For other children are also deceased. Funeral services will be held at Johnson's funeral Chapel at 3 PM Sunday, conducted by the Rev. A. D. McClure. Burial will be made in Shaul cemetery. The body will be taken to the Burdette home tonight and returned to the Chapel Sunday noon.
