Sylvia E. La Pointe
Miss Sylvia E. La Pointe 63, died at her home 901 Queen Ann Avenue at 11:10 p.m. Monday. She was the daughter of Frank and Elma La Pointe and was born August 22, 1862 in Jackson County, Wisconsin. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 39 years. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Elma La Pointe, Ottumwa; three sisters, Mrs. Z. Pence, Stonewall Okla. Mrs. H. L. Pelzer, Houston Texas, and Mrs. H. O. Walker, Ottumwa. Four brothers, Orie F. La Pointe, Ottumwa; John La Pointe, Ottumwa; Otto F. La Pointe, Rock Island, Ill., and Clarence La Pointe, Fort Worth Texas. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
