Marie Therese Davis, 45, wife of James E. Davis, died suddenly shortly after noon at her home, 128 North McLean Street. She was born in Ottumwa, February 23, 1899. The daughter of William and Margaret Wilson, her father preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Margaret and Mary Ann Davis, at home; sons, William Evan Davis in the U.S. Army, and James Jr., at home; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Wilson and two brothers, William and Edward Wilson of Ottumwa. Mrs. Davis was a member of the St. Mary's Church, of the Altar and Rosary Society, of the Parent Teacher Association and of the Milwaukee Women's Club. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the home and at nine o'clock in St. Mary's Church, the right Reverend Monsignor J. M. Walsh celebrating a Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. The body was to be removed from the Traul Funeral Chapel to the home late today and members of St. Mary's Parish to meet at the home at 8 p.m. Sunday to recite the Rosary. Pallbearers will be Louis Stark, A. J. Schwartz, William McInerney, Leo Kapp, Harry H. Kamerick, and Mike Mier.
