Service for Philo E. Davis who died in Veteran’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California August 11, will be Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evan R. Davis of 421 North Clay Street and at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated by the Right Reverend Monsignor J. M. Walsh V.F. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Full military services will be in charge of Company G, World War I comrades of Mr. Davis. Pallbearers will be from Company G. Mr. Davis was a member of the American Legion, of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of General Shields Council, No. 888 Knights of Columbus. Members of the local council will meet in the Knights of Columbus Hall today at 7:30 p.m. to go to the Davis home to recite the rosary.
