Mrs. Lillian M. Peterson, 91, a resident of Jefferson Square Manor, died there Wednesday at 7:35 p.m.

She was born Dec. 2, 1882, at Streator, Ill., the daughter of Thomas and Christina Weir Lane. She had lived in Wapello County since 1915.

She was a member of Christianburg United Methodist Church and married William Peterson in 1902 in Albia. He died in 1932.

Survivors include one son, Charles E. Peterson of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters Gertrude Baker of Milford, Neb., and Isabelle Proctor of Blakesburg; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one brother, George Lane of Newton; and one sister, Christian Anderson of Albia. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.

Services will be held Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Walter Bernard of Christianburg United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. ~ Ottumwa Courier, Thursday, January 17, 1974, page 12, column 3.
