Mrs. Larue Diedrick, 84, of 521 S. Davis died at 6 p.m. Feb 16 in Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines.
She was born Sept. 3, 1894, in Appanoose County to Clem and Nancy Celix Hunt. She lived most of her life in Ottumwa. She married Thomas Hood who died in 1919. She married Nick H. Diedrick Sept. 14, 1920. He died in 1959.
Survivors: daughters, Lucille James of Pleasant Grove, Calif., and Ruth Monohon of Des Moines; a son, Fred of Ottumwa Route 2; a sister, Edith Kuhn of Ottumwa; and 11 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Ernie L. Hudson of First Church of God officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
