Charles C. Hunt, 93, of 521 S. Davis died at 8:45 a.m. today at his home following an illness of several weeks.
He had been an employee of John Deere Ottumwa Works for 33 years prior to his retirement in 1936. He was the son of Luther and Mary Hunt and was born in Davis County, Aug. 17, 1871. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 66 years.
He was married to Nancy A. Selix in 1892 in Bloomfield. She preceded him in death March 7, 1945.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edith Kuhn and Mrs. Larue Diedrick, both of Ottumwa; two sons, Luther Hunt of Davenport and Fred Hunt of Ottumwa; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were four brothers and one sister.
The body is at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.

The service for Charles C. Hunt, 93, of 521 S. Davis who died Friday morning at his home, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Miller of the First Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Oswalt Butler, Richard Kenyon, Walter Selix, Harold Hamm, L.C. Pinckney and George Kostas.
