Miss Selix Funeral
CENTERVILLE - Miss Lucy Alice Selix, 45, of Unionville, died at 6 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Hospital, where she was brought October 29 and where she underwent a major operation November 4, from which she never recovered. She had been in failing health for two years, but critically ill only the last 10 days.

She was a member of the Methodist church and the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge at Unionville, where she had lived all her life. She was born April 6, 1898, in Unionville, the daughter of John M. and Viola Selix. She lived at her father's home. Her mother died when she was a child.

She is survived by her father, two sisters, Mrs. Russell Jobe of Centerville and Mrs. Delphin Taylor of Ottumwa; three brothers, Elmer and Henry Selix of Moulton and Charles of Idaho. The body was brought to the Miller funeral home. Funeral services are awaiting word from relatives.
