--OTTUMWA--Gailie E. Dugan, 97, formerly of Pennsylvania Place, died at 2:20 p.m. May 28, 2006 at Vista Woods Care Center.

She was born September 22, 1908 in Ottumwa to Oscar and Nellie Huddleston Johnson. She married John A. Dugan June 3, 1932 in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death November 14, 1998.

A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Ottumwa Women's Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Ed) McElroy of Ottumwa and Gailie Louise Collins of Fremont; 4 grandchildren, Craig McElroy of Scottsdale, AZ, Ric Dugan of Hagerstown, MD, Michael Dugan of Moody, AL, Cynthia Hooper of Cornelius, OR; 2 great-granddaughters, Leah Dugan and Jackie Dugan; a sister, Eloise Oiler of Ottumwa and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by twin sons Robert and Richard Dugan and a brother, Robert Johnson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev Ralph Kister officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
