Wednesday February 8, 1978Claude C. King, 90, formerly of 257 1/2 S. Davis died at 12:10 a.m. today in Jefferson Square Manor. He was a retired Burlington Railroad freight house employee.
He was born September 18, 1887 at Colby, Kansas to James and Hannah Warren King, lived in Ottumwa most of his life and was a member of First Pentecostal Assembly of God.
He married Laura A. Garretson October 18, 1911 in Ottumwa. She died in 1953. On August 22, 1954, he married Janet McQueen in Colorado Springs, colorado.
Survivors: his wife and several nieces and nephews. Services: 1:30 p.m. in Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Bill Wyatt officiating.
Burial: Shaul Cemetery
